You can pay for a wheelchair or scooter here with your HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) card. We take these cards through Flex, our HSA/FSA checkout partner.
What qualifies
- Wheelchairs, power and manual: the IRS counts a wheelchair used mainly for the relief of sickness or disability as a medical expense (IRS Publication 502), and Flex treats wheelchairs as eligible.
- Mobility scooters: may be eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity, a note from your doctor saying you need it for a medical condition.
- Your plan makes the final decision. If you're not sure, ask your plan before you buy.
How to pay
- Add the chair or scooter to your cart and go to checkout.
- Choose Flex (pay with HSA/FSA) as the payment method.
- Enter your HSA or FSA card. Flex will tell you if anything else is needed.
