What is FSA / HSA?

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are employer-sponsored healthcare benefits that allow employees to set aside for qualified health care and medical expenses.

HSA

For HSA accounts in 2024, if you have self-only HDHP coverage, you can contribute up to $4,150. If you have family HDHP coverage, you can contribute up to $8,300

The HSA contribution limits for 2025 are $4,300 for self-only coverage and $8,550 for family coverage. *Fidelity

FSA

In 2024, employees who choose to participate in an FSA can contribute up to $3,200 through payroll deductions for these accounts offered by their employers.

Both of the accounts work the same and are usually withdrawn from regular payroll deductions, pre-tax, which also reduces the tax liability. The employee also can choose how much they contribute to their account. Some employers offer both HSA and FSA accounts for employees, depending on their insurance plan. Employers may contribute to your FSA, but they aren’t required to.

These funds are subject to use-it-or-lose-it rule, meaning that any funds unspent by the end of each year are forfeited to the account holder’s employer. Use your remaining 2024 FSA or HSA funds to purchase a mobility scooter or a power wheelchair from us.

How does it work?

You can use your FSA or HSA debit card to make purchases for qualified health care and medical expenses using the funds you have set aside for 2024.

If you do not have an FSA/HSA card, you can also pay using a regular credit or debit card and then submit the claim to your plan administrator to receive reimbursement with your receipt.
